About Chris

​

Chris Reid is a voice artist and broadcaster in Winnipeg, Canada.

Having started on stage at the age of 11, Chris has since been involved with countless stage shows, voiceover projects, video hosting projects, and as a personality on a variety of radio stations across Canada and the United States.

Since 2015, Chris has been an advocate, donor and theatre patron in Winnipeg. He has worked with community and professional theatre organizations to help with marketing including videos, social media and graphic design and advertising.

In 2017, his interest from being on stage ended so he could focus on promoting the variety of talent in Winnipeg by hosting a weekly radio program, In The Spotlight, on CJNU 93.7 FM. The show focuses on getting to know Winnipeg's theatre community. The show features interviews with Winnipeg's top talent. In 2021, the show welcomed Winnipeg radio personality Pamela Roz as a co-host, and continues to feature interviews from Winnipeg's arts scene weekly from 12:30p.m.- 1p.m. Central.

In June 2022, Chris was awarded the honorary Theatre Champion Award from the Winnipeg Theatre Awards for his efforts in promoting live theatre and musical theatre in Manitoba.

Chris was the voice of Donald's Dino-Bash for WDNO Radio in DinoLand USA, evenings at in Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom. He was also the voice of the Thursday night dance party at the Atlantic Dance Hall at Disney's Boardwalk Resort and the official voice of the short-lived Club Disney at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Chris also serves as vice chair on the Board of Directors for Rainbow Stage, Canada's longest running open-air professional theatre.

He has worked on-air in radio at a variety of stations since 2004: 730 CKDM (Dauphin, MB), 680 CJOB (Winnipeg, MB), Power 97 (Winnipeg, MB), FAB 94.3 (Winnipeg, MB), TSN 1290 (Winnipeg, MB), Energy 106 FM (Winnipeg, MB), 204 The Hitz (Winnipeg, MB), CJNU 93.7 (Winnipeg, MB).
